Sport at Witham

Sport is part of the curriculum for all children from Nursery to Year 8. As well as a comprehensive P.E. programme the major team games are rugby, soccer and cricket for boys and netball, rounders and hockey for girls. A sample of other sports played by the children includes athletics, cross-country, tennis, croquet, squash, golf and basketball.

Our sports facilities include a squash court, hard tennis courts, croquet lawns, a nine hole golf course, excellent pitches, an astroturf, all weather wickets and a sports hall that can accommodate four badminton courts.

The fixture list for major teams is full and, with parents always welcome to attend, school matches generate considerable support, not to mention excitement!
