Fantastic week-end for Witham Sport
Four Witham teams headed to Oakham on Sunday to compete in the annual Oakham U10 and U12 Netball and Rugby Tournaments. The competitions attract over 50 Prep Schools from all round the country. On what was a fantastic day for everybody connected with the School, the U10 Netball VII won the competition (involving 15 teams), and the U12 Rugby VII matched that achievement, defeating Winchester House 14-7 in a fantastic final. The U10 Rugby VII won the Plate competition, winning 4 of the 5 games they played, and to crown a great day, the U12 Netball VII won the Bowl, having just lost (4-3) to the eventual Cup winners Spratton Hall. All of this followed on from the tremendous success for our Show Jumping team of Diana Bevan, Caroline Boucher, Harriet Coney and George Chatterton on Saturday. Full details and results to follow.
